Copper garage doors arrive in special wrapping and have to be handled with special gloves for the installer so as not to risk fingerprinting the surface of the doors. The chemicals in human skin will blotch the copper surface and show marks as the copper oxidizes. All of the steel hardware parts are covered with a powder-coated paint.
