Twin City Garage Door won the Trillium Award from the Builder's Association of the Twin Cities for excellence in building. Trillium awards recognize the partnership between the builder and associate members for design and construction quality of new homes on display in the Parade of Homes Spring Preview. The awards were presented to 31 builders and 63 of their vendors and suppliers at an awards banquet held on May 17th at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis.

Judging is done by professionals in the home building industry in four basic categories: Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Kitchen and Best Bath. The four overall categories were divided into 53 sub-categories by price range. A total of 65 builders with 102 homes, and 113 associate members (those sub-contractors and vendors who provided the products and services to builders) participated in the competition.
